The Unbearable Heaviness of Being

My quest for the eternal lightness

I miss playing the saxophone.

It’s been quite a while since I ran my fingers through the keys of the old king.jpgKing before releasing her into the possession of another’s hands. She was a faithful companion since my early involvement in gospel music. And I am feeling extra sentimental today. The faithful hands who’d weave together our weekend music are no longer jazzing their blues. They no longer feel the beats as they’d use to.

I wonder when I’d pick her up again. I wonder when they’ll get to feel the beats again.
