Malaysia goes to polls
Malaysians will hit the polls in less than 48hrs - with hopes for changes. My rights shall be exercised in Ipoh Timur and Tebing Tinggi. Undeniably, the local sentiments to reject excessive corruption and arrogance of the current ruling regime is convincingly euphoric.
I tend to agree that the time is now for us to make a choice of conscience. For years now, the call is upon us to reframe the Malaysian story on values that we can truly stand on for the many more decades to come. The People’s Declaration is, if seriously and sincerely engaged, a hopeful attempt. The glow falls on attempts to inspire the re-imagination of a more meaningful nation held in unity, integrity and equality.
I vote on my conscience. I vote for a more meaningful Malaysia. It is a Malaysian’s duty to deny BN its 2/3 majority.

haha…i was there 15min. before time. i think i looked a little too eager to vote but i really didn’t want to wait in the hot sun in a long queue. so i turned out to be the first one to vote … hahaha… take care yeah & enjoy yourself the next few days. see you in 2 weeks.
I registered for voting about a year ago in anticipation of the big day. Little did I know, I gave up on waiting for a change and decided to move away permanently before the big change took place. I guess I just got tired of waiting and waiting. I had the means and opportunities to escape,so, escape I did.
Somehow, deep in me, I still wanted to see that change in my motherland. I emailed the embassy in Canberra requesting for information to vote.
They didn’t get back to me even though I emailed them the moment the news came out of the polling date.
I got more and more antsy and even went to the extent of deciding that maybe, perhaps, maybe, I should just stop caring and give up my Malaysian passport once and for all. It’s just too tiring and emotionally-draining.
I am still praying for a miracle. I hope I live to see that miracle, no matter what citizenship I might be holding.
PS-I’m in the Ipoh Timur constituency too!
i am so glad that the election swayed in opposition’s favour. Malaysia is once again alive, really alive. Saya anak Malaysia!
